Safeguarding
Training
Nic and Sarah attend Level 3 Safeguarding training every 3 years as required. All other staff attend level 2 Safeguarding training. In every staff meeting we allocate a Safeguarding section to share updates.

In addition to this, staff annually update training on the Prevent Duty as well as other recommended refreshers provided to us from the local authority e.g. role of the LADO.
The Designated Safeguarding lead (otherwise known as DSL) at All Saints Wise Owls Preschool is the manager Nic Hare.

Nic has many years experience in supporting and working with families through more formal child protection processes as well as informal day to day support.
Safeguarding isn't a scary term. It is about working with families to help them to get the right support that they may need before reaching crisis.
​
Safeguarding isn't just one persons responsibility, it is everyone's responsibility.
​
At All Saints Wise Owls Preschool, the Deputy Designated Safeguarding lead is Sarah Hutchings. Sarah works very closely with Nic to ensure that Safeguarding requirements are maintained and that our families are supported at all times.
