At All Saints Wise Owls we use an online learning journal system called Tapestry.  

 

Tapestry is an excellent and practical way to maintain the two-way flow of information about children learning between parent/family and key person.

​

Sharing Learning:

Sharing learning between home and pre-school is really important to us. We value parents knowing their children best and play a crucial role in children's learning.

 

With the implementation of the new EYFS (sept 21) Tapestry is primarily used for parents/carers to share home life experiences with the child's Key Person.  We ask you regularly upload photos and observations of your child to this secure individual learning journal. We will monitor their learning progress throughout the EYFS and record their special achievements on Tapestry for you to see. You may not see regular observations from us, as our time is best spent sharing quality experiences with your children in the setting. However, be reassured that we get to know your children very well by our interactions and your uploads onto Tapestry.

With parent consent, if a child goes to All Saints School, we are able to transfer Tapestry accounts safely to the school. They will then use tapestry in Reception. At the end of reception, parents will be invited to download the full journal for safe keeping!
