FOREST SCHOOL

Forest School is a type of outdoor education that allows for the furthering of personal, social and technical skills. The primary goals of a Forest School are to:

Encourage exploration and curiosity

Empower children in the natural environment

Encourage spatial awareness and motor development

At All Saints Wise Owls, we want to make the most of our natural environment and value the skills and experiences Forest school sessions offer the children. We are working with Primary Forest School to deliver weekly sessions. This works brilliantly as Primary Forest School provide sessions at All Saints School. So once children leave us for school, they are familiar with the teacher and how sessions are lead.

Forest school sessions come as an extra cost and families will be charged for each session. Costing depend on numbers and will be discussed with parents each term. The children thrive from their sessions and enjoy activities from toasting marshmallow's on a small fire, bug hunting, clay sculpting amongst other fun! Please make sure your child comes in with appropriate outdoor clothing for the weather, layers are a must in colder weather. Sessions will go ahead whatever the weather as this brings so much learning opportunities for the children.
