Forest School is a type of outdoor education that allows for the furthering of personal, social and technical skills. The primary goals of a Forest School are to
Encourage exploration and curiosity
Empower children in the natural environment
Encourage spatial awareness and motor development
The Forest School England Network has defined Forest School as:
'An inspirational process that offers children, young people and adults regular opportunities to achieve, and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands on learning experiences in a woodland environment.’

At All Saints Wise Owls, we arrange for a lady called Zelda to come into the setting to deliver Forest School Sessions with the children. This comes as an extra cost and families will be charged around £5 a session. The children thrive from their sessions and enjoy activities from toasting marshmallow's on their small fire, bug hunting, clay sculpting amongst other fun!
Due to Covid - 19, these sessions are temporarily on hold till it is safe for them to resume. As soon as we can offer them again we will!
